            Take a Tour

            A variety of campus tours are available based on your needs and interests.

            To get a real feel for what it's like to live, work, and study at Mason, come to our campuses and take a look around. You’ll find the most diverse university in Virginia, an inclusive community that welcomes everyone.

            Most scheduled tours are held on our Fairfax Campus, but we also offer sessions on our other three campuses in ArlingtonManassas, and Songdo, South Korea.

            Visiting one of our campuses allows you to:

            • Check out the bulletin boards. You'll find organizations seeking members, announcements about study-abroad opportunities, notices of upcoming events, groups seeking volunteers, and items for sale. The boards can be a snapshot of life on campus.
            • Browse through the . In addition to textbooks and school supplies, find Mason-themed clothing, cups, key chains, and more, as well as a selection of bestselling books.
            • . Student journalists at the Fourth Estate are active and dedicated to reporting on campus issues.
            •  (Fairfax, Manassas, Arlington) The nation's capital is filled with opportunities, both historic and entertaining. There's always something new to see and do.

            Fairfax Campus

            When you visit, do more than take the tour. Find out about all the opportunities you'll have when you become a member of Mason Nation.

            If the weather is questionable, check the Mason 五福彩票计划软件 page for inclement weather notices, or call our information phone line (703-993-1000). Sessions and tours will be canceled if the university is closed or if classes are canceled.

            • Have a meal. The campus has more than 30 dining options, including dining halls and restaurants.
            • Explore the residence halls. If you want to get a preview of your 五福彩票计划软件 away from 五福彩票计划软件, explore our residence halls online. Most tours for prospective freshmen also include a look at a freshman residence hall.
            •  Mason Athletics features basketball, rowing, swimming and diving, lacrosse, volleyball, golf, soccer, track and field ... you get the idea.
            • Take a run through our recreation facilities. The Fairfax Campus has both recreation and aquatic centers.

            Mason offers a variety of tours of the 677-acre Fairfax Campus, and you can select one that’s structured for you.

            Prospective Freshmen Information Sessions and Tours

            Tours, which are held throughout the year, start at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. during the week, and at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

            The visit starts with a 30-minute information session with an admissions counselor. You'll then meet with a Mason ambassador, a member of our student volunteer group who'll lead you on a campus tour that lasts about an hour and 15 minutes.

            • Most academic-year weekend tours are conducted out of the Johnson Center in the middle of campus.
            • Weekday and summer weekend tours start at the Mason Tour and Visitors Center on the ground floor of Merten Hall. Look for the green welcome sign.

            Please review your pre-visit communication before you arrive, as we must sometimes change the session location. You'll need to check in 10 to 15 minutes before the session starts.

             Tours may be scheduled up to two months in advance. Contact us if you have a question or problem.

            Group Sessions for High Schools and Organizations

            Mason can set up an information session and tour for schools and organizations with groups of eight or more through our high school tour program. We give priority to schools and groups representing underserved populations.

            At this time, we are not accepting any additional group tour requests for the Spring 五福彩票计划软件 semester. Availability for the summer will be released towards the end of April. For planning purposes, it is important to note that our availability during the summer will be extremely limited.

            Honors College Sessions

            These 30-minute informational sessions are available most Fridays at 12:30 p.m. throughout the school year. 

            The Honors College provides academically talented students in all majors with an enriched academic and social environment that enhances their college experience. Sessions provide information on the curriculum, the Living Learning Community, and the University Scholars Program. You will also meet with an Honors College staff member and student.

             Check in 10 to 15 minutes in advance at the Mason Tour and Visitors Center, located on the ground floor of Merten Hall. (These sessions do not include a campus tour; we recommend you also attend a general information session and tour.)

            Transfer Student Information Sessions and Tours

            These two-hour sessions are held throughout the year on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m and on occasional Saturdays at 12:15 p.m.

            The visit starts with a 30-minute information session with a transfer coordinator. A Mason ambassador, a member of our student volunteer group, then leads you on a campus tour.

            Graduate schools, colleges, and institutes at Mason offer program-specific information sessions and events throughout the year. Please visit https://www2./academics/graduate-programs to find your program and learn more about opportunities to visit and connect.

            K-8th Grade Outreach

            We can help you create a meaningful campus experience for K-8th grade students. Our team will inspire students to attend college by giving them a tour of campus and presenting information on admissions, financial aid, and the college choice processes. The group can also have lunch in one of Mason’s dining halls. These sessions, held by request, are conducted Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

            Requests must be made at least one month in advance. We cannot guarantee that the preferred date and time will be available. We will contact you by phone or email if your request is approved and provide details about the visit. If you have not received confirmation from a George Mason University representative, your visit is not confirmed. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received a confirmation email.

            We are currently accepting requests to host K-8th grade groups during the Spring 五福彩票计划软件 semester. However, we had significant interest from K-8 schools this year and our dates are very limited. We do give priority to schools and organizations that support first-generation and underrepresented student populations that may not have an opportunity to visit colleges and universities otherwise.

            Arlington Campus

            Classes at this campus focus on graduate and professional programs​. They include:

            Science and Technology Campus (Manassas)

            There is no formal schedule, but prospective students can contact Operations Coordinator Colby Grant to arrange a tour of Mason's Science and Technology Campus

            In addition to classrooms and labs, the site is also 五福彩票计划软件 to the, which is not only open to students, but also to the community.

            The Science and Technology Campus provides housing to graduate students at Beacon Hall. Prospective students can tour the building, and sometimes, apartments are open for viewing. Contact Beacon Hall and let them know you'd like to look around.

            Mason Korea

            Prospective students and families can schedule a campus tour or counseling session by contacting the Office of Admissions and Enrollment at +82-32-626-5021.
